  1. yay for another 12/20 band buddy! i am actually glad my preop diet was 2 weeks so the post op wasn't such a shock to my system. anyone else have a lot of bruising at their incision site? mine looks like i got sucker punched or hit in the gut with a baseball, lol. i have been really good on moving and getting up and around, but i got sick the day of surgery so i am afraid to eat or drink much. i actually had someone notice the weight loss yesterday! it was awesome! it is all about the litle things.
  2. From what I hear, all of the odd gas pains and feelings are normal. I don't like the rumbling tummy feeling though. i got my band 12/20 and got to progress to full liquids yesterday, but everytime I eat/drink I have this awful ache gnawing feeling up under my ribs. I am not eating too much or too quickly that I know of. Is this normal?? Before I had my band put in, I hated that feeling of being so full you didn't want to move and I avoided it at all costs. I am worried that my new "full" is going to be similar to that. Glad there is a 20s group on here...nice to have other people who are younger. My doc has a support group that he offers out of the office and I am 28 so definitely not the youngest on these boards but the youngest at the office for sure! Cheers!
  3. Did you ever find a buddy? How is the pre-op and insurance stuff going? What are your interests?? Good luck with everything! I am 28 and am getting my band on the 20th.
  4. Hey everyone! I am new to the boards, but I am getting my band on December 20th!! I am stoked but nervous. I am very much looking forward to finding people from the boards or what not for support! Good luck to everyone else who is waiting or already had them done this past week. Cheers!
