  1. Just spoke to his nurse. She is going to get me an appt with another dr in his practice, but she said that he'll take it all out & then I'll see my regular dr next week! I hate to start all over but I'm miserable so at least I'll be feeling better before my vacation! Thanks for the reply!
  2. Had surgery on 12/2. Have not had any restriction from monthly fills! Finally, last Wednesday, after crying to my Dr over my 22 lb loss, he gave me a big fill! Now I'm worried that it's too much. I've been on liquids since then. I can't keep any solids down. I'm eating slowly, chewing excessively, on food such as cottage cheese and it still comes up! I've lost 8 lbs since last Wednesday so I'm pretty happy with the weight loss, but I feel terrible! To make matters worse, my Dr is out of town this week and I leave for a cruise on Thursday (8/4). Any suggestions to get through this will be greatly appreciated!!!
  3. I also have a large knot under my largest incision...but my doctor told me that it's where my port is & I have a hematoma around it. It's very sore & uncomfortable. I'm 8 days post-op. I have to go back to the doctor on Friday to make sure it's not infected. I'm hoping that he will drain it or something. It's the size of a baseball!
  4. I was told tat it was a hematoma around my port site. The only the dr. did was gave me more pain meds. He said that I probably over did it...ie cleaning house, decorating my Christmas tree, etc. He thinks I tore my port away from my body a bit...I have to go back to to see him Friday, but I don't know what he'll do about it. It's very painful to move around....
  5. HELP!!! I'm 1 week post-op & I woke up this morning to a huge knot (baseball size) at one of my incision sites (also the same place where the band is)! It's not hot, but very hard and tender to the touch...has anyone had this problem? I called my dr. & I have an appt to see him at 1:00 pm today, but until then, I'm searching for information! The nurse said it could be a fluid build-up, but it's so hard....HELP!!!!
  6. Realize Band surgery on 12/1/10. I'm 4 days post-op and have been getting my liquids and Protein liquids down great. I've been walking around my house, folding laundry and trying to stay active. My scale at home is not that accurate but I believe I've lost 8 lbs...92 more to go! I go back to work tomorrow, but I have a desk job so it should be OK. I've had some indigestion pains and soreness in my abdomen, but otherwise things are going great! Glad to find this support group to help me thru this!
