  1. I will be back to work a week after surgery, but I get to work from home. Everything I do is on the computer or over the phone. So blessed to have a great employer.
  2. Who knew BMs could be such a game changer!?!
  3. There was an earlier post about nausea and I believe the solution was a probiotic and protonix. I will see if I can find it again.
  4. My doctor, surgical nurse, and nutritionist suggested the gummy vitamin post op. No chewables.
  5. Mouseonthemile I asked my dr specifically why the liver needed to be shrunk. He said that it was mostly a "technical" issue. The liver sits on top of the stomach and it makes it easier for the doc to sleeve the stomach when the liver is not in the way. Otherwise it gets in the way and they have to prop it up .... Blablablabla. I would like solid food thank you, just prop it up!
  6. JELLO IS NOT FOOD!!!! I agree!!!! But it tastes like fruit. Kinda..lol
  7. Missybean I feel great about the pre-op so far. I had to stop diet coke cold turkey and I thought that would be really bad but it's not. Just a headache every now and then. I have been drinking diet soda since I was 12 years old--30 years! I am in Wyoming, near Jackson Hole, but from Montana. This is my second day of clear fluids and protein shakes and I feel pretty good. Where is your surgery? How is the pre-op?
  8. FINALLY!!! I found someone that will be sleeved on November 13! I kept looking and looking and you are the first. I will also be sleeved on the November 13. Happy dance!!!????
  9. Dymatize Cookies & Cream whey protein. I mix it with 1% milk and pour it over ice. It is actually very good because I'm a nose plugger too so I know how you feel.
  10. Thanks for all the advice! I'm 24 hours without DC and the worst part has been the headache. So I gave in at about 3 pm and had tea with caffeine. It helped a lot but can only do that for 2 more days. Also I just happened to come across a caffeine e-cigarette. No nicotine and no tobacco. Only caffeine and it bypasses the liver, goes straight to the brain. I do not think I'll try it but found it quite tempting when my head was hurting this afternoon.
  11. I got my band removed October 16 and wasn't sure if I wanted the sleeve. I decided yesterday I want it. Started 2 week pre-op diet all liquids today. I will have my sleeve on November 13. Im very excited! The lap band was a major fail and was put in the wrong place from the start so I'm ready for some weight loss and a healthy me!
  12. I start my two week pre-surgery all clear liquids tomorrow. I didn't have time to wean off the DC. I am determined to do this so I will try the apple cider vinegar to see if that helps. Thank you for the help!
  13. I am addicted to diet coke and scared of giving it up. Help!!
  14. My surgery is 11/13/13 and my pre-op was today. I'm excited for the liquid only diet although I will most likely have a different opinion tomorrow at this time. Lol
  15. Yay!!! Just found out my surgery is November 13! So excited!!!
  16. I am new to the forums and I am wondering how long it takes for insurance to approve procedure?
