  1. I had my surgery on 12/14 with Dr. Hamn. I saw Dr. Garza for 6 months pre op and had got tons of info from them. Also, there's another site that is great for getting quick responses and support. www obesityhelp com
  2. I'm 1 week post op in Plano. There is a support group at Presby Plano that meets The first and third Thursday of the month. I plan on going to my first one in January.
  3. I got banded Tuesday, the 14th. I stayed overnight at the hospital which was good because I was in a lot of pain. I can home with a Oh-Q pump/cath that helped with the pain but it ran out yesterday and I'm still pretty sore. The swelling in my abdomen has gone done some but I'm still pretty bloated . I am getting better every day, it's just a slow process. The gas was ok when I first came home but it got worse the 2nd day but has gotten better today. My doctor told me that Gas X was pointless and wouldn't do any good so I didn't bother taking any at first. Well, the more I read and saw everyone saying that it helped, I took some and it helped SOOO much. I second guessed myself the day after wondering why the hell I did this but as I get better I remember exactly why I did and can't wait to get back to feeling normal!
  4. I'm new here too and my surgery is in 18 days. I go for my pre-op testing on the 30th and my pre-op dr's appointment on the 9th. When I got approved (almost 2 weeks ago), the dr's office called and set up all the appointments and told me that I have to go on a liquid pre-op diet too but only 3 days prior to surgery. I was curious as to how long they are requiring you to be on it and why so long?
