  1. I was banded on Dec 20 and lost 11 lbs pre-op and 23 lbs since. I feel pretty fantastic and will be thrilled with 1-2 lbs a week consistently. There is no quick fix and it takes a lot of work but I am up for the challenge! Best of luck to my fellow Dec bandsters!!
  2. I didn't start feeling much better until Thursday and I was banded on Monday night.
  3. You need to eat!!! Can you get Protein shakes down, chicken broth, greek yogurt? When you move onto mushies - low fat chili and more Soups. Can puree chicken and put it in the soup.
  4. I am also 2 weeks post op and see the doctor tomorrow for my follow up. That is a great recipe and I am going to have to try it! I have been eating a lot of chile and soups. Follow my blog at https://diaryofalapbandmom.com.
  5. I like the EAS Myloplex Lite in Chocolate Cream and Vanilla Cream.
  6. It could also be dehydration - I know it is hard but keep sipping the little cups of water. It will get better!
  7. Hang in there - it truly gets better!!!
  8. It sounds like you are doing terrific and should be thrilled with your weight loss. It is not reasonable to expect to lose 1 lb a day for any sustained time period. Initial weight loss is water weight. I was told to expect 1-2 lbs a week if you followed all the rules. I guess you could bump it up by exercising more - you didn't mention that - are you working out?
  9. I felt the same way!!! Don't beat yourself up. More important is you are doing something to address it. Check out my blog at https://diaryofalapbandmom.blogspot.com
  10. Hi Lizzzz, I had my surgery a week ago and the gas pains are gone but I have modest swelling still. Also having a hard time going to the bathroom. Are you allowed soups? That might shake things up and help with hunger.
  11. Hang in there! I felt the same way and now just a couple of days later I am doing much better!
  12. I had my surgery on Monday - the 20th and am about the same weight - maybe up 0.5 lbs but I know it is from the fluids. Can't wait to see that big drop!
  13. Can't believe it is almost here! I wish I were first thing in the morning but there is something nice knowing that in the morning I won't be crazy and can get my kids off to school before I leave for the hospital. Good luck to everyone! See you on the other side. Susan
  14. I am going in tomorrow - Surgery at 3:00 so I think the no eating part will be difficult. Hope everyone is doing well Susan
  15. I am getting a bit scared but am really hopeful about the surgery. Mine is in the afternoon so I have to go all day without eating or drinking any Water. Not looking forward to that. I posted on my blog at https://diaryofalapbandmom.blogspot.com Wishing everyone luck! And let's all post our experiences on Monday. All the best, Susan
