It was truly mind blowing. They specialize in gastric bypass. So I guess that's what she's used to. No excuse though. But I do hope I can get a hold of the dr. and let him know what happened to me there. Plus I paid $125 to hear it.

I had my surgery in mexico. But today I went to a follow up at a bariatric surgeons office here local to me. I called ahead of time and explained my situation about my surgery in Mexico. And they said it was fine. I don't have insurance so I paid $125 cash to be seen. By the drs. PA not himself. She was in the hall and yelled out why am I seeing someone who had her surgeryin mexico. I heard someone answer because dr.coates wants to be the follow up dr for patient from mexico. She then yelled then he should see them himself then. When she came in my room I asked her if these were issues she should of taken care of herself before taking my $125 she then apologized and said she would make sure I got my moneys worth she was just thrown off by me being there so soon after my surgery and that she didn't know I had surgery in mexico'til right before she was going to walk in. I said ya I could hear that. She said they hardly do check ups with people who have had the sleeve because dr. coates just started doing them. Also she said people don't come back for follow ups because this surgery is like being on a diet and they fail. She said she wuil continue to see me for blood work and to track my weight. So anyway gus's i'm just venting. But that visit really ruined my whole day.

I have the same fears. The day after surgery (feb. 11) I weighed 213.8 today 19 days later I weigh 202.2 but a few days ago I was 201.3 I don't understand. I feel like I can eat too much. I feel hungry still. I'm on a ppi. So I don't get it. very frustrating but more scared. What wuil it take for me to lose weight.

I was at 34 bmi. I had surgery on feb. 11. I don't know why I am such a slow loser but I have only lost 12 lbs. But a loss is a loss.

I went to dr. ramos kelly in mexico. It cost $5300. I financed it as well. I have no complaints about him. You will love him and his asst trish. I do not know if thats more affordable for you bur it's an option. If you search his name in this forum you will read great things. Call trish. She will give you god info also. I had my surgery february 11. I had my period then and I have it again today. Is that normal. Did this happen to any of you?

I'm only 12 days out and feel the same way. Others have told me it's slider food that go down easier. But i'm worried too. Hopefully when wer go to real good we will see a difference.

I'm having the same gears. I'm 12 days out. And I can eat 6 ounces of yogurt already and pureed foods. Other sleevers have said that it's slider foods that we can take in easier. But I just had yogurt and still feel hungry. Idk if there is away around this or what it means

Thanks Diva, i'm not too full thats what worries me i'm comfortable. But I just think it should be less.

soi i'm 11 days out and today I ate a few spoons of runny oatmeal and 1/2 cup of coffee for breakfast. Then no snack and at lunch I had like 6 ounces of runny mash potatos. Why can I eat so much.when all of you guys get full offa couple of bites of anything evena few months out. Am I eating too much. I know i'm not getting enough liquids so i'll work on that.

I have had baby food but only the fruits. Not looking forward to trying any others.

I don't have insurance so i'll probably just go by the emergency room tomorrow and have a leak test.

so on day 7 I was allowed to add yogurts so I did. Couldn't even finish half. Now today I just finished the whole thing in like 20 minutes. Is that ok? I feel like I shouldn't be able to eat that much. I was afraid I wouldn't feel full either as I was finishing it up. But i'm starting to get full feeling now. I hope I didn't mes something up. If you haven't noticed from my other posts i'm a worry wort. Lol

I am 10 days post op. I ate some cream of wheat this morning and had a little protein mix with it. Some coffee. Now my back hurts. I'm getting random shots of pain in my back. it might just be normal body pains but i'm on high alert from the surgery. Had anyone experienced this. I have no fever but i'm still worried it may be a leak. Or a slow leak.any info is helpful. Has anyone experienced a leak our a slow leak that got worse over time. That can explain how it feels. I was cash pay in mexico and I don't have insurance. I found a sleeve surgeon out here to do my follow ups but my 1st appt is the 2nd. And he doesn't do leak tests. Just blood tests.

I haven't gone at all since surgery. 10 days.

I am 9 days post op and my incisions are almost all healed up. Look like little scars right now. Only one has a scab but does not bleed at all.

Omg. You sound exactly like I did 10 days ago. I was so scared I was bawling. I just knw I was going to die. I kept getting signs from God not to do it. So I thought. I'm only 9 days post op and i'm happy with my decision. I had faith in my surgeon, I wasn't afraid of the pain afterward but just of dying. I made it through ok. I talked to my surgeon before I sucked it up and did it. You are not alone. Call me tomorrow before surgery and we'll talk it through if you want. 2098727090.
