  1. Got a call from the dr's office asking me if I have ever had an EKG done before last week. I had one in 2009. They asked if I could get a copy and bring it to my appt with the surgeon today. Long story short... They said that the EKG showed that I had a mild heart attack. OMG!!! So as of right now I supposed to have my surgery on Thursday, but I'm scared the are going to call and say I have to wait. I asked my surgeon if this would delay the surgery? He said no, but it's up to the anesthesiologist. So here I am 12 days into a liquid diet and waiting for a phone call telling me I have to wait. Has anyone had this happen? Plus, I've never had a heart attack.
  2. Keep us updated. I go in on the 27th, but I only have to stay one night (as long as everything is good). I worry about gas in the belly. A few years ago I had surgery and the gas from it got under my shoulder. Now that was more painful than the surgery.
  3. Try Unjury Chocolate. I mix mine with Almond Milk (lactose intolerance) and it taste like a milkshake. They have sample packs for 1.75 online.
  4. I start mine on the 13th and my surgery is the 27th, but I have to do my psychological exam on the 10th. I live in Georgia and they are saying we will have snow and ice on the 10th. To make a long story short I'm running out of time to get all my appointments in before the surgery, but I will go on thr pre-op diet just in case. I might be on a liquid diet longer than any one person can handle. It's worth it.
  5. Good luck.. I meet with the surgeon on 1/3/11 and my surgery is 1/27/11. I'm self pay so it happens very fast.
