Hello My name is Kimberly. I am a LPN and I have opted to have Lapband surgery. I have struggled with my weight all my life and have tried just about everything there is to try with no success. I am less than 24 hours from my surgery and I am so excited. My pre op diet has been a definite struggle but I have stuck to it. The first week I had to drink 1 protein shake and eat two meals of 2-4 ozs of chicken, turkey or fish and 1 cup of vegetables and 64-80 oz of water a day, the next four days 4 protein shakes a day and the 64-80 oz of water a day, then only clear liquids till surgery. I have become so amazed at how everything in life, tv, books, magazines, radio, and even billboards have some sort of notation to food. every time i pick up a book or turn on the tv or radio its talking about eating. i don't know if i am noticing this because i can't eat or that i am trying to retrain my way of thinking and living.
