Why are lots of peoples Tummy's so Sensitive post op? I understand you just had surgery .. I hear some people say they can't "tolerate " things like salad and eggs and chicken months out so they done eat it..Isn't the surgery supposed to make your tummy SMALLER but NOT DIFFERENT?? Just asking and please don't bash me I am only curious I'm not being negative! Im most likely having the sleeve done and it was confusing how some people are do sensitive now! Any answers are greatly appreciated !

  19. Thanks everyone I appreciate you all being so sweet , caring and understanding,, I rubbed some people the wrong way with some questions already but ... Well I had a thought.. Why are lots of peoples Tummy's so Sensitive post op? I understand you just had surgery .. 20. Thanks so much hopeful one! I see more good than bad with the sleeve and I pray for you all is perfect as I'm sure it will go for you! I just am the kind of person who asks tons of questions and some people may be annoyed but oh well lol I'm a nice person with a big heart and never meant to scare anyone.. I have children and need to be here for them .. Right now I'm an extremely healthy chubby girl , not on any meds and I have no illnesses but not sure how long this will last so yes I am here to ask opinions and I appreciate people like you !
  21. Again, I'm not bashing the Sleeve, I think it's a wonderful tool. That said I have read tons of complications now happening and since it's not backed by years of long term research I will ask and I have a right to ask as many questions I feel fit. It seems the complication subject is very touchy with people .. I want the sleeve , I'm not some jerk trying to scare people! I know there's risks with any surgery. I know people may not want to think about what I'm saying and I'm not here to tell people don't get the sleeve. I just have a lot of questions and sorry if some people don't like me for it! I am now researching why people have LEAKS YEARS OUT, Not just a few weeks out like most people think. Sorry if I came across like a paranoid freak but it's my body and my life here.
  22. Thanks, i am a big girl, I don't need " hand holding" I just want facts.. This may not be for me and I get that, I however I think it's good to ask as many questions to everyone, not just the surgeons, but to real people who live with complications. I have my surgeons appointment in a few weeks and obviously will ask him tons of questions. I'm just torn and trying to get advice and decide on what's right for me. I've been heavy my whole life, I would live the Sleeve... I'm not bashing it just need to ask opinions and I will make my choice when I'm ready! Thanks for that input though.
  23. Don't mean to be a downer , I think the Sleeve is amazing but I am terrified of leaks... I'm baffled that they can happen years later!!! Has anyone died from this!??
  24. It sounds like WLS is not for you. Best wishes. Thanks but it IS for me , I just worry ... I really want and need it.. I don't understand why some people have leaks Years later??
  25. I'm thinking of no surgery or the Band... Sleeve seems too scary .. Leaks.. Pic lines.. Iv s... Whole Stomach removal.. Omg read the complications of some people I don't want the sleeve !
  26. Hi Sunny! I am Lao going for VSG but nervous as well.. I'm realistic .. I weigh 242 and I should be about 140 ... There's no way in hell I will lose the weight AND keep it off, I'm 40 and overweight my whole life.. I need a change for good and I will never do it without help. Not sure about you but I'm tired of living like this..
  27. I just heard they may be doing away with the 6 month supervised diet program !
  28. Ooh ok thanks ! My insurance is making me do a 6 month doctor care diet though!
  29. I never heard if an OB helping with this, I thought it was pcp only? What would you get from an OB?
  30. Hi Karen, How are you doin??? Hope all is well, I'm going in nov or dec .. Nervous! Pls keep us posted!
  31. So many people I know have nothing but pure torture with the band ... I. Was doing that but said I don't want to deal with all their issues, I know the sleeve can have issues too but just seems better long term! Good luck!!
  32. Thanks Linda, I'm going for the sleeve and I have no one around me who understands and I have to learn everything on my own.. I'm thinking why in hell would an OBGYN be the one to help !
