Suprise!

I had my 1st fill today, 1cc. It didn't hurt at all! However, I learned today that I had 4.8cc already in my band from surgery! I had no clue! My doc said that he fills the band during surgery & then lets whatever wants to come out, come out & whatever stays in stays in. I haven't heard of this! I did get freaked out to think that I had 4.8cc in my 10cc band & didn't have any restriction. He told me to "stop fixating on numbers". I'm trying.....but it still freaks me out!

Anyone else heard of this?

I'm glad your fill went well. Just think, your already further along then you realized as far as getting to good restriction.

Best wishes,

Donna

Heather, it's all anatomy. Some stomachs are bulkier than others. And the green zone is different from one person to the next. I'm at 5.8 and this is the green zone for me. My best friend is at 6.8 and is still thinking she needs another fill. Just keep reminding yourself that we are all unique and just because at 4.8 you didn't feel what you thought restriction should feel like doesn't mean you didn't have any. You just aren't "there" yet.
