Today is the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Being a former Marine, I must ask your indulgence to take a few lines within this forum and wish a Happy Birthday to my brothers and sisters in arms. As well as to their families. Semper Fi!

    I also want to wish all Marines a Happy Birthday. Once a Marine always a Marine.

    My youngest son is a Marine and stationed in Mirimar near San Diego. He was supposed to go overseas but they changed his orders at the last minute and I breathed a big sigh of relief.

    My son is at boot camp at Parris island now. He will graduate Jan 8. His letters are very upbeat and he seems to love it. I'm glad he has joined such a big family!
