NYU Bandsters, need help

I am new to NYC and also new to havinginsurane. I am fortunate enough oto have an insurance plan that will pay for all the lapband costs after a three mnonth weight loss regimen.

I went to a PCP to start the three month weight loss process. Unfortunately i found one that is not supportive of the lapband system. So I'm trying to find a new PCP who will write the letter of recommendation without a total headache.

Does anyone have suggestions on a good PCP?

You should say what your insurance company is so people can recommend a dr. that takes it. I have a supportive PCP but she takes no insurance. I use my insurance for all my medical needs except for her.

Where are you located in NYC? My PCP is in the Bronx and would def. write you a letter...PM me if you're interested.

I use Dr Charles Paolino, Westside Medical Center on West 14th St. He was very supportive of my surgery. I believe he takes AETNA. I can send you his contact info if you're interested.

I forgot to mention, NYU added a new Bariatric Doctor to their team. Sorry, I forgot her name. She may be able to do the letter for you. If not, NYU should be able to recommend a PCP.

Good luck.
