Ab exercises postop

How soon after surgery can you start to do ab workouts? I did some circuit training today and it felt great, but I skipped on the abs b/c I wasn't sure when I could start that.

6 weeks up to 6 months, depending on the doctor

I do Pilates, and my Dr. is all for it. My surgery was May 8, and my first pilates class was July 21.

I work out 5 days a week and work out my abs in one way or another each time, including crunches, lifts TONS of core stuff etc. Never had an issue other then some soreness on the port sight from time to time when I over exert. I would still double check with your doctor though.
