Plateau myths?

Ok not sure where I heard this from...but..

when losing weight, do you tend to plateau or stall at weight's that you held for a long time?

For instance say you had been at 218 for 5 years sometime in the past, now that you are losing weight again, you end up plateauing at 218 and it takes quite a while for it to budge..

Anyone else ever heard this before?

Thanks for the great article sunshine! It was very helpful.

I personally believe the theory to be true. I’ve been stuck in the range I'm now in for a good year possibly. I’m working on it though! It’s going down more than up at least! :)

Every diet I have done and with the band to I can't get below 165. It is nice to hear that I am not completely abnormal. AT least where this is concerned

I haven't plateaued yet. But I'm losing slower than most because I am doing Pilates 3 to 4 times a week now. I'm going down sizes, but my weight is only dropping about 1 pound per week. It's fine with me, because I won't have alot of loose skin this way.
