Still having shoulder pain 4 months post op

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I am 4 months post-op and i still have bad shoulder pain. It isn't all the time maybe once a week but when i do get it it hurts like h***. What would be the reason for still having shoulder pain it can't be the gas that they put in when doing the lap because that would have left my body already.

I was banded 07/09/09 and still have shoulder pain. It is getting better, but very slow. I usually get the pain if I eat too fast, too much, or food that is too solid. If the pain lingers into the evening I use half of a menthol pain patch (equate/ walmart brand). It works very good.

There is another thread here somewhere titled something like best explination for shoulder pain .... very good info there.
