High Expectations...

I'm scheduled for my first follow-up on August 13th. I really would like to have a fill even though I was just banded on July 28th. I do have quite a bit of restriction, but I lost 40 pounds prior to surgery and then another 18 during the pre-op surgery and I don't want to give those pounds a chance to sneak back up on me. I might be being a little too aggressive. Has anyone else had a fill at 2 weeks post-op or is that simply not done? P.S. I can eat some toasted breads now and crackers go down ok too. Will that change after I have my first fill?

Thanks :sneaky:

Right now all that is holding your band in place are a few stitches. You need to give yourself 4-6 weeks to form scar tissue so that it is more firmly in place.

Stick to the post-op diet and wait until you are healed to get a fill. Not following these two rules could cause slippage which will get you nowhere but back to sqare 1 of this whole process.
