Here's wishing us all safe surgeries and speedy recoveries!!

Good morning, Mary!

Okay, I'm jealous about your thunderstorms. It's another sweltering hot day here in Texas, and it's not even 10 am yet!

I'm feeling pretty good these days, too. I slept in my bed again last night, and it was pretty comfortable, so I'm happy about that. I've been a little more emotional than usual since the surgery, but I'm learning to deal with it.

Last night I found myself scrounging around the kitchen looking for SOMETHING to eat that wasn't soup, Jello, pudding, or Protein shakes. hehe. I finally settled on some instant mashed potatoes (really watered down, since I'm still only at "cream of wheat" stage) but when I started eating them, the taste wasn't nearly as satisfying as I expected it to be!! It was like... what's that?? My friend food isn't as much fun as I remember him being?? I ended up eating only a few bites, and being done. Of course, not to say it would have been that way with something I really love, like mac and cheese, but it was nice to feel some CONTROL...
