Slippage!!

I am going in for an upper GI today to rule out that my band may have slipped. If it has slipped, what will that mean for my band? I have heard 2 different things:

1. Go on full liquids for 2-3 weeks and hope that the band resets itself.

2. I would have to have surgery and it has to be taken out.

Has anyone had any experience with this, or know someone who's band has slipped?

Thanks!!

I just found out my sister-in-law's band has slipped. The doctor thinks it is due to the flu she had about a month ago. She is going to have to have her band replaced. He tried removing some Fluid on Monday but there just wasn't much in it, so he determined it had slipped.

Good luck to you!
