Three possible causes:

  1. To little protein (Make sure you get 60G per day)
  2. To little vitamins (take a good daily)
  3. Shock from surgery and diet change (just give it time, it will slow and stop)

Time frame is typically, hair loss starts three months out and if you make sure you are doing the above, it should end within three months.

I have had my band almost a year and my hair started falling out about 3 months later. I was told it is from the shock of the surgery and the weight loss. My hair is better now, it still falls out some, but it has started growing back. The doctor told me it could actually take 2 years for it to get back to normal.
