Exercising in the Bedroom

Hello All,

I haven't been banded yet, but will be in a few weeks. This is kind of embarrassing to ask, but am wondering ABOUT how long after surgery that I might feel well enough to re-introduce sex to my exercise regiman?

Thanks for any insight you can give.

Sex in 4 weeks, sooner if you want to avoid putting pressure on you stomach.

It only burns about 3 extra calories per minute....you can walk slowly and still get more calorie burn.

Everyone is different, but I was only able to wait until day 5....very slow and easy to begin with...I'm day 14 today and getting close to being back to "normal" for us.

I guess your hormones and rate of healing will be the determining factor for you.

But I have to admit....even if it doesn't burn many calories (and I think that may be a matter of how um....shall we say "active" you are) it sure is the most enjoyable form of excersice!!

My husband and I had the surgery on the same day. We were able to wait until day 9. We had to go slow also, but we couldn't wait! LOL.
