Ok I looked at the calender today and I actually screamed! There is only 4 weeks left to go, Very exciting but I still have about 7kg to go  I am really trying too, so it is anoying, but from today i am cutting out everything i cant have after the band, hope fully this helps and me and HB2B are going to take the dog for a walk for 30 mins to an hour every day............................................. I am freaking out!

But i still hope everyone is ok, this thread has gone a bit cold :(

HI there

Hi Everyone

Its been 2 &1/2 wks since my op. The first wk I had great restriction. Since then I have had barely any restriction. It's been like trying to diet on my own. I'm completely disenchanted by it all at the moment. I can eat whatever I want, whenever. I'm trying not to, I still want to succeed, but it worries me that it is so easy to slip up on bad foods like lollies, chocolate, chips, biscuits. Aargghh!!! Apparently my surgeon doesn't do a fill until abt 10wks post op. The 6wk appt is just a check up. I have no idea how I'm going to restrict my intake on my own for at least 8 more wks. I've lost 1kg, which is better than nothing but I'm v disappointed in my self for not having more self control, ie doing better. I hope everyone else is doing ok though. Take care

Sue

Hey there Sue

I had my surgery in May including pre op Ive lost about 25kg in total, believe me it gets better :D Keep your head up  You can do it, we all can :w00t:

Big Hi Fives to Everyone

Luv Trish:thumbup:

Don't get down on yourself Sue. I was the same for a long while, because my first fill didn't do anything.

Its hard not to, I know, like I haven't lost anyting in the last 2 months but I have lost cms. Are you doing your measurements? Perhaps that may make you feel a bit better about the situation. In the 2 months I lost no kgs, I lost 2 inches off both my waist and hips. How that works, I dunno cos really muscle can't weigh that much lol

Thanks Trish and Leah. I'm back on track now and feeling much better about it all. It will b 3wks on Mon. and now I've lost 3kgs! Which has been a great inspiration to stay on track. Was prob being a bit impatient with myself. I also spoke to one of the nurses at the clinic. She reminded me to think abt whether I actually feel hungry, and to have a drink of h2o and go for a walk if I feel like slipping up. Simple but effective. Cheers, Sue

Hey Tarob

Have you met Dr Sabine yet???? I love him he is wonderful, I was so scared to have my op until I met him. He made me feel comfortable....so now I make sure I book all my appointments with him.

Off to see him tomorrow

Yes I have, I like him too. I have not met the other guy yet though but i would be happy to keep appointments with him

Hey Tarob,

The other doctor (Dr Yaega) is lovely too, he works with my hubby, this is how I found out about Dr Anderson. I have never had any problems with all the people that work there....Your in great hands thats for sure :tongue2:

Bet your getting exciting about your op!!!

Im done 28 almost 29kg now  its getting so exciting now

Cheers Trish

Hello, everyone. I am banded! but very sore and feeling sorry for myself right now. :tt1: But I am getting there, I feel better every day and now I am on day three. Nearly 29KG thats amazing I am really happy for you.

I messaged a friend that i had not told yet on my way to the hospital as she asked about a cryptic facebook message, and she had hers done 6 weeks before hand, By Dr Anderson too  That made feel really better. I held myself together until I was in there, but then Dr Anderson and steven made me laugh then I was asleep.

Hope everyone is doing well

Tara
