Mind Games with the Scale!!

Does anyone else play serious mind games with the scale?? I am FINALLY on track with workin the diet that is expected after surgery and sure I'm losing. I want to look at the scale but a few weeks ago I did and gain like 2 pounds--I did just eat lunch but... So instead of working out like I had planned I got mad and ate cookies. But that's not just it. Last time I noticed I lost weight my mind tells me "Cool!! Let's eat to celebrate!" DAMN SCALE!!! I used the ketostix and it was nice and purple so I know I'm losing. Curiousity is starting to get to me. I see my dietician on friday so I will wait till then for now but in the future.....?

What is a ketostix? It tells you that you are losing weight????

I don't Celebrate a loss with food, but I am addicted to the scale. I weigh every morning and every night. I just can't make myself go a week. I guess keeping track helps me from gaining all week. It keeps me in check.

i used to use food for celebrating too. or being sad, or upset, or mad. perty much any emotion. its something i am working on. getting better, but not all the way there yet. i figure its something i will struggle with forever.

as for the scale. its my best friendemy. i have a little ocd thing going on with the ritual i have. if i dont get to it i worry think about it all day. so yeah, just another thing i need to work on. lol.
