Bloating & Gas after fill?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else experience bloating/gas more than usual after a fill? I'm in such pain I'm considering having all my fill taken out. This pain is just not worth it.

I AM NOT TOO RESTRICTED EITHER!

Hi, I had my first fill on 3/11 and I've had worse gas since that fill. I'm taking Ultra Gas x and it's not even touching it or helping in any way. I'm not eating foods that should cause me gas either. My doc had trouble finding my port and ending up poking about 12 - 13 tries before he found the port, so I was thinking this might have been the cause for the gas, but if you experienced it too it probably isn't. I hope someone can respond and let us know. Thanks for posting this problem. Linda

Hey ya'll, oh my gosh, im so glad i found this thread even though there arent many answers here yet!

I had my first fill last monday and come weds/thursday I had those gas pains, like after surgery, and they progressed throughout the weekend so bad, all i wanted to do was crouch over! I took all the gas x I could, then I had my sister go out and she bough infants mylecon and some liquid tylenol b/c i was SO uncomfortable!! Neither of those seemed to help too much! So I had made an apt. for the following monday--- ONE WEEK AFTER THE FIRST FILL--- to get a small "deflation"... well long story short- they didnt read the papers and put another full cc IN the band!! When they said that I flipped out and started crying, haha, poor doctor! I was furious. They acted like the gas pains were something new and that they'd go away, one of the nurses told me to take ducolax just to clear it out... i did, its gotten slowely better, and ive been drinking hot tea. BY THE WAY, THEY DIDNT REMOVE ANY SALENE. Im at 3 cc now.. all I can do is HOPE its not like this at every fill!!! and good luck to ya'll!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. ย Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! ๐Ÿ˜ž
