1st fill

im going on the 27th for my first fill. i asked my doc about how much he puts in at a time and he told me that he does it under fluro so he can see how much restriction you have.the way i understood him hes going to be pretty agressive with this fill, like i might get a pretty good one.the way he made it sound he was going to fill it till i had restriction since he was using the fluroscope.

does this sound like any of your doctors?

Not mine. He feels we need time to adjust.

My doctor does all fills under fluroscopy.. but he hasn't given me large fills. I had 2 cc's put in during the surgery, but only 1.8 came out when I went in for my first fill. 1st fill was 1.3... 2nd was 1.5.... and the 3rd was 1.3 cc's. Had no restriction after surgery, first fill, or second fill. Third fill - LOTS of restriction. Your fills and body do have to adjust after each fill. What might be just right on fill day - might not be days or weeks later. But as we all know.... every doctor is different. Good luck with your fill!! Take care. Becky

I got my first fill yesterday, and finally know it was the right decision (had been debating getting one or not). I was surprised that my Dr. put 3.25cc in a 10cc band. He kept telling me how "cautious" they were with fills, so I was expecting like .5-1.5cc. I was thrilled with the 3.25 and surprised to see that there was .5cc from surgery (he said this is normal, it is hard to get all the fluid out). He only does fills via fluoro if there is scar tissue or some other underlying problem. Good luck with your 1st fill, it's not that bad, quite quick and easy actually!

Got my first fill yesterday also. Also under flouroscope. He put 6 cc's in an 11 cc band. Have not had solids yet but will try tonight

Had my first fill yesterday 3/18/09.. I couldnt tell muh diff, til last nite, I ate a taco salad..I felt kinda full after my 5th bite..But my Dr. he also does undr fluor. I go get another fill in 3 weeks..Lets see how that goes..
