Health Select Insurance

Hello,

I have question. I work for the State of TX and have Health Select PPO insurance through my job.

I am more than 100 lbs overweight, I have 2 drs my primary & my orthopedic who have written letters of medical necessity for the surgery. But the insurance reps I have talked to all say no way - never- they dont cover Weight Loss.

Is there anyone out there who has this insurance thru the State Of TX that has been approved? IF yes could you provide me all the details & info?

thanks,

MB

Hello,

I was just reading the posting about the health select insurance. I also work for the state of texas and was wondering if anyone found any info on this subject? Please let me know. Thank you!

I, too, am a State of texas employee, and I have not seen anyone with this who has been approved for coverage. I am inthe same position. I am considering self pay, but I'm also trying to find a program that lets you make payments directly to the doctor/hospital. Any suggestions?
