I have a problem. I've had a cold, upper respitory infection, etc. All of a sudden, I can't eat anything solid. Is it possible that all the coughing has irritated my band or caused it to slip? I haven't called the doctor yet because I am afraid he will want to take all the fill out and I'm not sure I want that. I have been doing liquids for the past couple of days and was able to eat some cheesy scrambled eggs last night. (1 egg and about 1/4 cup of melted cheese) I felt very, very full afterwards but nothing came back up. Liquids and cottage cheese and yogurt go down fine.
Has anyone else experienced something similar after or during an illness. I figured I'd give it another day, try solids again and call the doctor if there is still a problem.
Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.
The good thing is I've lost four pounds in the past week and seem to have broken the plateau. I am feeling better after two sets of antibiotics and a round of prednisone. I hope the weight loss will continue because I have been stuck on the same four or five pounds for months now.
