Severe pain one month out

Hi everyone!

I know we are still supposed to be experiencing "port pain" still, but is anyone feeling stabbing, burning, ripping pain??

It is not all the time, but when I stand up, bend, sometimes even when I just adjust in my chiar I get this type of pain in about a 4inch square area on my lower right of my stomach.

Is anyone else's pain this bad?? Hopefuly???

Yes, I had this too - not as bad as you are describing though. Exactly on my fourth week, I had a severe tenderness at my port area - something I had not even felt before that day/week. It hurt worst when bending. I called my surgeon's office and was told that it sounds like I pulled one of my internal stitches and give it a few days. They were right, the tenderness faded but is still not completely gone away.

Hey there.. I also had this pain and was told the same thing that I had pulled out one of my internal stitches.. but I am over 7 months out now and no pain.. the only thing now is when I am standing my port sticks out due to the weight loss. I was told that it's ok to lose a stitch and after awhile your body naturally heals itself around your port. I wouldn't worry. I hope that helps!

Hey, I just posted on another thread. Make sure you ask your doctor about exercise. I was just playing around on the Wii Fit and had severe pain and nausea. I could not sleep the whole night so on Monday I went to the doctor. I was later admitted for observation and had to stay over night. I had a CT and UGI to make sure what was going on. Then had a reaction to the dye. I just keeping asking my self WHAT Have I done? So please take this as a warning learn from me. This was not fun.
