I'd love to start a support group in Shanghai China. Alas there is me and one other guy I know. A few locals who don't speak English which is ok except my Chinese is "ma ma hu hu". So maybe there is somebody else out here?

Hi there, just wanted to say I hope you find some people! I was in Beijing for two months this summer (before I was banded)... the culture is so different there that it definitely was so much more difficult for overweight people like me. I was working over at the olympics and I had to get sized for a uniform, which was probably the most embarrassing experience of my life! But, the good news is, I lost 15 pounds over those two months on my own just because of the food there.

Are you still in Shanghai? I'm moving near Shanghai this year and needing information regarding fills and lap band Dr's in the Shanghai area.

I am 7 years post surgery and living in Guilin, Guangxi, China. I would also like to locate a Chinese bariatric surgeon in case I might require a fill or a revision.
