Hi, my name is Ray and I am in the process of getting banded. I have had my first meeting with my Surgeon (Machado), did the blood work, xrays, and met with a nutritionist today. I have to get an evaluation and have no idea where to find one, they provide one at the Machado's office but doesnt go through insurance. If anyone knows where I can go in Sacramento, please let me know. I have BC/BS.

Do you mean a physical? I got mine from my PCP to certify I was healthy enough for bariatric surgery.

If you mean something else, then I am as confused as you are.

Its the psychological evaluation, they kept calling it a Bariatric Evaluation. I am just going to schedule it with them, I couldn'd find anyone.

Oh shoot, why didn't they just say so. :-D

Sometimes medical insurance won't pay for the shrink visit. But my company's EAP paid for it. Be sure to check that out.

I was given a list of possible people to go to and I picked the one on our EAP plan.
