Stomach Pains, 3 weeks post Op

Recommended Posts

Hi ya'll, im 3 weeks post op and have been getting stomach pains alot. It happens after I eat a meal. I told my doc he told me it must have been what I ate, and put me on liquid until the pain went away. Well, I went on full liquids for about 2 and a half days. I was still feeling the stomach pain on just about everything I ate/drank. Had tomoato Soup, stomach pain afterwards. After 2 days, I tried to go back to solids, and had one bite of a hamburger patty, and stomach pains, I lasts about 2 hours or so. Im not sure what to do. Has anyone been through something similar? Or have any suggestions?

Ask your doctor to give you a HIDA scan. It could be your gall bladder. I had those same symptoms. You could have gall bladder disease not stones. Sonagrams and blood work only tell you if you have stones. The HIDA scan will test how well your gall bladder is working and if it's under 25% they recommend you get it removed. Check it out! Keep me posted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
