A Hiccup question

I am 4 weeks post surgery on Monday, and I still get hiccups frequently, and they hurt. The Dr. said as time goes by the frequency of the hiccups will decrease.

Dose any one have any experience with this? Will Hiccups always hurt?

I got hiccups a lot when I was first banded. Now, 6 months out, I hardly ever get them.

I have hiccups pretty frequently and normally when I am/should be done eating... they are uncomfortable but not usually painful and they don't last very long. Not sure if that will be your experience or not but for me, when my family hears me start hiccuping, they all say "you're through!". :(
