I have FINALLY been approved for lap band. I am so excited I can hardly sit still.

I am looking for a support group in Port Arthur area. Any ideas?

Who did your surgery? I had mine done by Dr. Spiegal in March. I have lost 31lbs so far. I have had one fill which was in April. I've made 2 appointments to get a second but would start losing weight again. I know my fat is secured to my body by fat super glue and I lose exceptionally slow. I'm so glad I did this, and even though I can't go to sleep one night and wake up the next day skinny, I would do it again in a heart beat.

There is a support group that meets at the Holiday Inn on Jimmy Johnson Blvd on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. I haven't had a chance to go yet as I live in Spurger (north of Silsbee) and just haven't made it yet. Anyway, let me know how you're doing and I'll do the same. Again, congrats on your surgery. God Bless you. Karen

I haven't had my surgery yet, I've only just now been approved (by my insurance) to have it. I have my first appt this week. Thanks for the info. And keep in touch.
