pre op testing

Hello everyone, I am a new member, hopefully will be scheduled for lap band in the next few weeks. Currently I am having my pre op tests done, had EKG, Endoscopy and bloodwork done, have appt. for pulmonologist evaluation next week. I want to know is the pulmonary function test painful and how long will I have pain after the surgery.

How long you will have pain after surgery really depends on each individual person. For me, I'm a HUGE weenie, so I had pain (and took meds for it) for about a week after surgery. Some people here say it only took them a day or two.

I do have the say the pain was never so bad it was excruciating (except for the one time when I didn't take my pain meds on time and that was the next day after surgery).

The pain is VERY tolerable when well managed with pain meds from your doctor.
