Banded 11/6/2008

Hi Everyone!

I have been checking out this forum since July when I started on the journey to become banded and am sooooo happy to really 'join' club. I am Type I diabetic for over 30 years, insulin pump for 18 months, with about 90 lbs. to lose.

Having done every diet program on the planet for 30 years I finally said 'enough'! Oh I can lose weight, but just couldn't keep it off. After going on the pump, working out 5 days a week (3 days a week with a personal trainer) following a heart health diet and gaining 40 lbs.! I went looking for a loooong term solution. Even though the doctors suggested bypass, I was not feeling it. . .so here I am, one of your newest bansters.

Sugery done by Dr. Paya in West Hills, California and so far so good.
