The "last supper" syndrome

I just got approved for surgery last Friday. Ever since I found out the happy news, I've been eating like *crazy.* It's ridiculous, even for me! Then, of course, the old brain starts working, saying to me, "oh...you think this band is going to make a difference when you know you will never have control!"

Has anyone else experienced this and over come it?

I must say I too have experienced this...don't know why...I understand I'll be able to eat what I want (after healing) and most of what I've been "Last Suppering" on is veggies and dip...milk...string cheese...coffee...and Water...how ridiculous is that...if I really want to go out with a bang I'd ask my family to move up Thanksgiving to before my surgery November 5th!

I guess it is more psychological than anything...we will still be able to eat...the quantity we have before won't be possible but the quality hopefully can be even better!

I am thinking that stuffing myself to the gills with carrots (hey at least they are carrots) just confirms the fact that when I'm full I stop...see...the band is going to work for us!
