Support groups?

Hi all,

Do you attend support groups? I was banded on 9/15/08, and usually end up going to Providence, RI (I live in Milford, MA) to attend support groups because I don't know where any are in Metrowest Boston. Where do you all go?

I go to support meetings at the Brigham, which is the third Tuesday of every month. I am quite religious about it and in the last year and a half have missed twice, due to family obligations.

Going to meetings helps me keep focused and the questions and discussions answer alot of my questions.

I was told that people who go to meetings have a better success rate.

Thanks, Tova! I do agree with you about support groups being vital to success. Right now I go to 2 different meetings at Rhode Island hospitals. One at the Miriam and the other at Roger Williams. It's easier for me to get into Providence, than Boston.

Thank you for responding.

I too go through the program at B & W Hospital in Boston. Its helped me so much and Ive met some really great people.

I so wish that that a group exist that was independant of each hospital/group.
