This morning I woke up to excruciating pain where my band is. It just worse and worse and there was nothing I could do to stop the pain. The pain was so bad I was sweating and shaking and I told my husband that I might have to go to the hospital. I thought my band had slipped! But that didn't really seem like the explanation because I was able to swallow water normally and the last time I had eaten was last night. The only position that was comfortable was sitting up with my knees up to my chest. I couldn't stand up or lay down. So, I stayed like that for a long time and the pain started to go away. It took about an hour. I got back into bed and I felt the pain start to move down. I realized what it was. It was gas! I guess there was so much in my stomach and it was putting so much pressure on my band that it was causing that pain. As it moved down, it just felt like normal gas pains and bloating. I was so embarrassed that it could cause that much pain! Have any of you had this happen before? What could have caused that much gas?
