Tricare & Fills

Recommended Posts

Do you know if tricare covers fills? Is there a copay? Do you have to qualify for each fill like you did for the surgery? I haven't had my appointment w/the doc yet but wondered if anybody else had any experience. Thanks :0)

I have Tricare and they have paid each of my post-op visits just like they would any office visit claim, including the visits when I had a fill.

If you have questions, it's always good to call your Tricare contractor directly and they will give you the information you need. I don't know where you are from but I live in the West so Triwest is my Tricare contractor.

Good Luck.

I am sure it is like everything else here, in it depends on the doctor. My understanding with mine, (Tricare) is that they are covered with just a co-payment (12). I am hoping that this is correct as some of the posts on here say that the fills are expensive. He explained it was part of his plan at this time and I would be grandfathered into it in case it did change in the future

If you are active duty prime, there will be no copay...prime retired has a $12 copay.

Thanks for posting this question as well as to those who answered. I'm going for my 4th fill next week but it will be the first that will be billed to Tricare as the first 3 months after surgery are covered by the surgeons office. I was concerned I'd have to pay something. I haven't paid anything up to now.

Thank you Tricare!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
