Am I really full?

Okay so I feel my tummy start to growl. I make something to eat and I sit down...the feelings gone...I eat a little and then a little more, but still feel the same. I can never tell if I'm full so I find my self eating very very little because I'm so afraid of over eating! How can I tell if I'm really hungry and really full? Any advice or similar problems? Thank you in advance!

I generally eat a small meal every 4-5 hours. The noise your tummy doesn't mean you are hungry. My tummy makes noises all of the time. By timing my meals I am asureed not to wait until I am absolutely starving and willing to eat anything I see.

You just barely had surgery so there is a good chance that you are hungry just like you think you are. It takes a couple of fills before you

get that really full feeling from a very small amount of food. Try to eat protein every 3 hours or so until you get a fill.
