handicap workout

I am going to have surgery on my right foot in November. I will be totally non weight bearing for 4 - 6 weeks. Any idea what I can do to keep fit and burn calories while in this condition? Any websites or online resources that you know of?

How about getting the DVD and do some pilates? There are lots of exercises that you don't stand to do, you could even lay on your bed and do them so you wouldn't have to get off of the floor with only one foot.

There are a few Richard Simmons DVDs designed for people with low-mobility. One of them is called "Sit Tight" - you can find it on amazon, ebay, or richard simmons website. I bought one for my mom who has a lot of knee problems. Goodluck!
