Hello all I am new to the site. I am in the process of getting everything finalized for my surgery and need to pick a band. Have to choose between the Lapband or the Realize band, any input on either of these would be very helpful....

my doc told me there was not a big difference...just like two different brands i guess the only thing is that the realize band comes with this new tech support system! Kinda cool all of this online tracking stuff comes with it kinda neat ...but in the end its just the same as the other

Since the realize band is still new to the US market I always tell people wait...don't be the guinea pig for new technology. Let realize be on the marktet a couple of years and let them work out any kinks then I would put it on the same level as the Allergan band. The newer allergan bands are working for people great...I am old school almost 5 years out and have the original Inamed band myself. Of course...this is just my opinion.
