What to do about obvious swelling after fill.

Recommended Posts

I am just looking for some advice on what to do to help relieve the swelling after my second fill. I had 1 cc for a total of 3 cc's in a 10 cc band on Thursday. I have pain and obvious swelling as I am having difficulties with Water and Protein shakes passing through. I have tried to eat a little bit of cottage cheese and thought I was going to make a trip to the ER.

Other than time, is there anything I can do to help reduce the pain/swelling?

Your thoughts and suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks, Karen

Call your doc right away.

This is not normal. I have had several fills and have not experienced this. It sounds like you are overfilled.

You may need a slight unfill. However, in the mean time, start drinking warm or hot liquids. Anything cold makes you tighter. It might loosen up in a day or two (this has happened for me in the past), however if for any reason you are no longer able to get liquids down you need to go in for an emergency unfill.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
