Juice cleance/jump start weightloss/clear complexion

am starting a 21 day juice cleanse today and was wondering if anyone else has done this? I had my third fill yesterday and i think i might have good restriction. My fill nurse will be gone for a week so i decided now might be a good time to stay on the liquids cuz she will be away in case i need an unfill. also because i have good restriction now the juice will hopefully be satisfying enough to stick to it. What it says to do is juice fruits and veggies for yummy drinks, idealy every 2 hours (awake hours) or six to seven times a day. for 21 days. and it will cleance your whole system out and help you metabolism to burn fat, thus loose weight, and a bonus will clear complexion too. I read somewhere that people can have 10-20 even 30 lbs of gunk built up in our colens and this will flush all those heavy toxins out. My friend went on a juice cleance and lost 12 pounds of black stuff. She feel great now! anyone else out there try this? I will keep you all posted as to how it works!:rolleyes2:

Personally I think they are bad for you. We have bacteria in our colons for a reason....WE NEED IT! My doc, too, says at least 1 year post op to push protein first. Sounds like you are kind of abandoning that; that's not good for you I wouldn't think. JMO of course...but I think "cleanses" are mostly bogus.

but you have to go back to solid food at some point right? sorta like those who had to go on a pre-op diet (i didn't have one), the moment they're introduced to solid food after their post op program...you see them typing here mad that they're gaining weight. well of course they are.

i just don't think the band is meant for us to drink our meals - my dr is also not fond of getting your calories from drinks (unless obviously after a fill or not feeling so hot).

i view "cleanse" as a healthy diet - not to be gross but i've had the healthiest stomach in my adult life after adapting to a proper diet since being banded.....my 2 cents.

IT IS ONLY FOR 21 DAYS,WHATS THE DIFFERANCE IF I DRINK OR CHEW MY FOOD SO LONG AS I AM GETTING THE NUTRITION I NEED. iT'S NOT A LIFE STYLE CHANGE IT'S A CLEANCE. AND ONE OR MORE OF MY DRINKS A DAY IS A PROTEIN DRINK. i WANTED TO DO THIS CLEANCE BEFORE THE BAND IT REALLY IS ABOUT GETTING THE TOXINS OUT, THE WEIGHT LOSS MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN.

then do it. if your dr has no problem, enjoy the juices!

my dr does not recommend drinking meals - i personally like food enough to not drink them as well .. so personal choice.

btw - all caps really isn't necessary when sharing thoughts / ideas on the subject.
