Denise

I live in NC around the Boone area. I have my first consult on Tuesday, Sept 16 with Dr Voellinger in Charlotte. I attended the seminar with Southeast Bariatrics on 8/25 and still am a little confused about the process. After the consult, does anyone know what happens from there? I would appreciate any info you can give to take away some of the confusion and anxiety I am having. Thanks.....D:confused_smile:

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield State Health Plan since I work for the state. They required:

1. Meeting w/dietician or nutritionist-to discuss the unique dietary needs that getting a lapband will require.

2. Psychiatric evaluation-to ensure that you are aware of the lifestyle changes and how you may face challenges as a result of learning a new lifestyle.

3. Labwork, like usual

4. For me, since I have high blood pressure, I had to have an EKG.

That's it!
