Just curious....

How much did you lose before you had your reconstructive surgery? Was the reconstructive surgery recommended by your doc, or did you ask for it? I am almost 1 year, Post op and I've only lost 60lbs. I would like to wait until i've lost atleast 80lbs (because I'm not sure I'd ever reach the 100lbs weight loss mark), but I was wondering about when or if I should ask for a Tummy Tuck and breast lift. Right now my breast and pannius seem to have low self esteem. They just look toward the floor (causing slight back-aches and occasional rashes)!!!!Everything has seemed to drop with the weight! Any advice or comments are appreciated.

Thanks:embaressed_smile:

Call and schedule a consult. If the PS thinks he/she will have better results with additional weight loss they will tell you! In the meantime have your rashes and back aches documented. Long term issues have better chances of being covered by insurance.

I had mine done about 20 pounds ago.....and am not dealing with any new sagging skin from that 20 pounds!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
