manhattan pre-lap or pre-band supervised program

greetings! I am would like personal recommendations of doctors or hospitals or clinics or programs (trying to think of "key" words so my quesiton will "pop" up in searches!) you have worked with in Manhattan for your six-month (or longer) weight loss program required by your insurance company. I would like a place that really does help with all the issues that can help us be successful in the long run - emotional, psychological, etc. -With support groups and/or exercise programs, etc. Thank you!

Dr Teixeira at St Luke's/Roosevelt was great. They have a comprehensive team that walks you through each step of the way. They have a 6 month therapy group that helps you meet the insurance qualifications and they submit everything to your insurance for you. They were wonderfully supportive and after reading other's stories on here, really know what they are doing. They give you all of the tools and teach you how to use them.

Thanks 6945! I am considering surgery at NYU. Do you think Roosevelt's program could be used if you have surgery outside of Roosevelt? Manythanks,

DN
