I was a year out, not from lack of trying. I think there are some on here who have been closer to banding, so hopefully they will chime in!

i got banded 3/19/08 and we started trying exactly 4 months later in july. my BMI dropped pretty quickly, so doc gave us the go ahead since i'm almost under 200 lbs. (9 to go!)

good luck and if you're not having a lot of other health issues, i hear the magic number is around 200 lbs...if you can get near that, then you're good.
