Anyone have Problems With Korean BBQ With Lap Band?

So, I'm still on my liquid phase of the post-op diet. Less than 48 hours until mushies! Woo-hoo!

But, I'm starting to think of things that I really enjoyed eating before the Lap Band, and one of them was Korean BBQ. My post-op instructions recommend not trying "steak or chops" for the first year after being banded, but does this include the thinly-sliced pieces of beef you'd have at a Korean BBQ?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Nick

Well you should always listen to your doctors advice. I can tell you that I am 3 months post op and I eat anything. I am actually having tri tip for dinner tonight and Pork tomorrow... I am not sure what the whole year thing is about. I would talk to your doctor about it if you don't think you can make it a year without steak. I honestly think that's pretty crazy.

Yeah, you have come this far do you really wanna set your self back. It said beef so stay away from that for awhile. I know its tough, but think about where you would be if you didnt. Fight the urge.
