How soon can I work out after surgery

Hello All,

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago this Thursday. I have a membership at Lifetime Fitness and was thinking about going this afternoon and doing the elipitcal and treadmill. Does anyone know if it is ok or if it is too soon?

    You need to follow your doctor's advice. What does he say?

    Now saying that, my doctor advised I could go back as soon as two weeks for treadmill/elliptical. Listen to your body and don't overdo it. He said that I needed to wait at least six weeks for any strength training and then take it easy.
