protein pancakes

My problem is I don't get enough Protein..correction I don't drink the Protein shakes can't stomach them. But, I dreamed last night that I made pancakes out of Water and Protein powder... I don't imagine that they would be too bad and you can have any flavor and add fruit or whatever you want and Fry 'em up the way you like... em! I haven't tried it but I wanted to share my dream...

Any thoughts?

Actually, I have made Protein Pancakes...or at least a version of them. Rachel Ray has a "Gourmet Pancake Reciepe" that I altered and used Wheat Flour & Soy Flour, in addition to the eggs and vanilla flavored yogurt you add to the mix it was pretty packed with protein. The yogurt base also made them tasty. No syrup needed (at least I didn't). I make them and freeze them from time to time. In addtion to the pancakes, Rachel Ray's reciepe calls for sauted peas & corn as a side to the pancakes (sauted in the renderings of bacon or panchetta). YUM-O

High Protein Pancakes

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup fat-free cottage cheese

8 egg whites

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

1) Blend ingredients in food processor

2) Pour onto heated pan by ¼ cup, cooking 2-3 minutes per side.
